Sesto Dolomites invests in state-of-the-art systems from LEITNER ropeways

GD8 Drei Zinnen + Stiergarten

The Versciaco, Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa ski resorts in the Sesto Dolomites were connected in 2014. Two gondola lifts have been built by LEITNER ropeways to transport visitors between Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa. Both destinations are first-class ski resorts that are ideal for winter sports enthusiasts, while at the same time being very family friendly. Winter sports fans can use the gondola lifts to move quickly and easily between the two ski areas, and can also enjoy two new downhill runs of 2.4 and 1.4 kilometers. Before this, the two areas could only be connected by bus or car. The new ski connection between Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa is a showpiece of innovative winter technology. The “Tre Cime di Lavaredo” gondola lift starts its journey from a valley station near the starting point of the existing “Signaue” lift directly on the road leading to the Passo Monte Croce mountain pass. Capable of transporting passengers a distance of 2,033 meters and climbing 654 meters, the lift also has a capacity of 1,800 people an hour.

TESTIMONIAL

“In recent years, the LEITNER Group has become a one-stop shop for ski resort hardware. We have only ever had an extremely positive experience with the gondola lifts, snowgroomers and snow making systems produced by the company, which is steeped in tradition.”
