CD6C Gran Sometta

Cervino Ski Paradise and the Swiss ski resort of Zermatt together form the Matterhorn Ski Paradise, one of the biggest and most snowsure resorts in the Alps. The new CD6C Gran Sometta has vastly improved the connection between Valtournenche and the rest of the ski resort. This modern ropeway replaces the eponymous surface lift and is driven by the ecofriendly LEITNER DirectDrive. Passengers are now more comfortable because of the new heated seats and weather bubbles. The new ropeway is also impressively quick, carrying sports enthusiasts to the 3092 m top station in just four minutes, which is over 65% faster than its predecessor.
