Multiple cable solutions guarantee increased wind resistance and are able to cross spans of over 2,500 meters. This makes for a perfect application over steep and exposed terrain. Tricable gondola lifts have one hauling cable and two support cables. In both systems, grips are detachable, meaning that the systems have a very high transport capacity. Vehicles can be slowed in the stations and with the new Stop-and-Go technology they can even be stopped completely. This ensures additional comfort when entering and exiting the cabin.
“Together with Pininfarina, the best-known vehicle designer in the world, we have developed a cabin that will create a stir in the ropeway market through its outstanding design and unique functionality,” commented Michael Seeber, LEITNER Group Chairman.
Numerous safety welds can be eliminated since most parts are milled from solid pieces. The design offers significantly more stability with less weight. There are also reduced maintenance requirements, since the grip can now simply be removed. Significant improvements have also been made to ride comfort.
With a transport capacity of over 6,000 passengers per hour, the tricable gondola lift is the system of choice for high-volume traffic areas and shorter transit times. The LEITNER 3S system offers various advantages such as simple cable deflection, optimum redundancy, patented hauling cable rollers with spring system and a compact station design.
After the 3S “Symphony” cabin, LEITNER ropeways now presents its little sister, the new luxury cabin Symphony 10. From the minute passengers board until they leave the cabin, the Symphony 10 offers top comfort and design.
Manufacturing technologies and precision components like those used in aircraft construction are the hallmark of the high technical standard of the new LEITNER 2S carriage.
LEITNER ropeways is setting new standards by comprehensively re-developing bi-cable technology.
